Saturday, September 27, Day 15
Today, I woke up a bit earlier than I usually do on weekends, because it’s our last day here and I haven’t packed yet. While the others were still sleeping, I ate breakfast alone with my host mom Kim and we watched TV.
Then I started packing. I had bought so many clothes and other items that it took me a while to make it all fit into my suitcase.
For lunch, Kim took Charlie and me to a food truck because she wanted us to try lobster. I had never it before and really loved it.
In the afternoon, she drove us to Wakefield Memorial High School, so we could watch our host brother's marching band rehearsal. When they were done rehearsing, I helped Kim and the other parents load the trucks with all the instruments and props they needed for their performance they had that night. Quite a lot of loading!
And then it was already time to say goodbye to my host brother as we would not see him again before our flight back to Switzerland. We then went home to finish packing and at about 6pm we drove to the airport where our host mom, whom we thanked for her hospitality, dropped us off.
A few more pictures were taken at the airport, then it was time to say goodbye to everybody before we had to leave for our flight.
I think I'm speaking for everyone when I say these two weeks were a great experience for all of us and we really enjoyed it. I would like to thank everybody who was involved in this exchange program and made our stay here in the Boston area so pleasant.
